TPO — Communications
The mission of TPOCommunications is to facilitate communication and
information sharing among the campus IT consumers, providers, and
strategic planners, to promote effective uses of technology for
teaching, research, and public service.
Key Functions
- Manage outbound communications.
- Support development of key messages.
- Market key messages.
Responsibilities
- Provide communications and marketing services to the Office of
the CIO (OCIO).
- Develop communications and marketing plans to effectively
support the OCIO strategic objectives.
- Work with internal clients to develop strategic messages and
identify media or methods to be used to communicate those messages
to specific audiences.
- Provide writing, editing, graphic design, and review services
for consistency in design and content of outgoing OCIO messages.
- Identify, implement, disseminate, and support editorial,
technical, and graphical standards for communications.
- Solicit, gather, and publish IT news contributed by campus IT
providers and their functional partners.
- Identify and analyze audiences to be reached for the purpose of
tailoring communications.
- Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of communications.
- Provide web/user-centered design and information architecture services for
the OCIO.
- Design usable, accessible, user-centered interfaces and
navigational structures.
- Implement, administer, and maintain websites for OCIO.
- Participate in the review and selection of technical tools to
support communications.
