Before using campus services, you may want to check with your own department to see what services (e.g. computer facilities, support)
they provide. See the Services section of this site for further information on campus
units providing general IT services.

All UC Berkeley students must have a berkeley.edu email address
and a CalNet ID for accessing online services.
Computer ownership is highly recommended (though not yet required) for students.
It is recommended you check first to see if your department
requires Macs or PCs.
Computers and software may be purchased at educational discounts
from the campus computer store (TSW).
Connecting@Berkeley software for computer security and Internet connectivity is available on a free CD
and from the Software Central site (CalNet ID required).
