Personal Online ID

• CalNet — personal ID that you will need to access UC Berkeley's online services

Electronic Mail

• CalMail — email and webmail service for faculty, staff, and students

Collaborative Workspaces

• bSpace — collaborative workspaces, course websites, tools to support instruction and research (CalNet ID required)
• Cal WebFiles — Internet file storage (CalNet ID required)

Network Access

• AirBears — campus wireless network (CalNet ID required)
• Campus IT Security Training — IT security resources
• Connecting@Berkeley — free CD with software for computer security and Internet connectivity
• Dialup Services at UC Berkeley— dialup modem access to campus network
• Residential Computing — network connections and cable TV service for UC Berkeley residential units

Buying Computers, Getting Software

• Software Central — downloads for faculty, staff, and students (CalNet ID required)
• The Scholar's Workstation (TSW) — campus computer and software store offering educational discounts

Access to Computers

• Open Computing Facility (OCF) — student-run lab offering free email, web hosting, unix shell account & computer lab access
• Workstation & Microcomputer Facilities (W&MF) — Macs, PCs, printers

Getting Help

• Campus Computer Repair and Support (CCRS) — fee-based service
• Campuswide Computer Help Desks — assistance for faculty, staff, and students
• Information Services and Technology (IST) Support — knowledge base, service desk, help with central, IST-supported services
